Try a Sport 365: FREE sports sessions for students in East London.

Welcome to Try a Sport 365. Thanks to funding from Sport England, we are able to offer more opportunities for students to take part in 30 minutes of sport 3 times a week. If you want to take part in weekly basketball sessions, try archery or have a go at MMA then we've something to offer you. Click here to see the current programme. All sessions are Free of Charge*.

Basketball Action

All sports’ sessions are aimed at beginner/intermediate level athletes who do not play the sport on a regular basis. They are fun, friendly sessions designed to offer introductory level coaching and match play. Sessions are mixed unless otherwise stated. Full details of each sport can be found by clicking here.

We offer a wide range of sessions at different times and locations. Maps and venue information can be found on the session timetable. Please check back regularly for updates and announcements.

Try a Sport Project Manager Claire Smith would love to hear from any students keen to get involved in the programme. If you would like to take part in a sport not currently on offer, please contact Claire who will try to arrange a session for you. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter to receive regular updates.

*sessions are free for students only.

UEL staff can attend these sessions but must purchase a UELSports membership which costs £70 for the academic year. These can be purchased from SportsDock reception and allow the member to attend any Try a Sport or UEL Sports Club sessions free of charge.
