1. What is Skillzone?

  • A service – Skillzone supports a range of partners who use the Skillzone space to deliver sessions for students, for example, the Disability, Dyslexia and Access Centre which offers drop-ins at Skillzone at designated times of year; and the Employability and Enterprise Team, which offers a one-to-one CV checking service and Careers Counselling at Skillzone Docklands.
  • A space – Skillzone Docklands is a large area which offers group work and quite study space for students. There are computers available for students use when not reserved for IT tuition, books and learning materials available for loan at the library, Apple Macs and VHS players.
  • A place to get answers – We support new students to access useful information advice and resources that enable them to become independent learners. We have an IT Tutor and a Study Skills Tutor at Skillzone who provide generic (non-subject specific) support to Level 0 and Level 1 students via workshops and tutorials.
