Living on campus is a great way of meeting new friends and gaining a new-found independence. We offer accommodation for both undergraduate and postgraduate students ranging from en-suite rooms in shared flats to studio apartments
You can apply to live in our Docklands Campus Student Village if you are studying at our Stratford or Docklands campuses.
You will receive an invitation by email to apply online once you have firmly accepted an offer from UEL.
Please note:
If you have firmly accepted a Conditional offer from UEL you will receive an email offering you the chance to apply online to reserve a place in our Student Village. Once you have met your offer conditions and passed any required applicant checks you will receive an email asking you to login to UEL Direct, our student portal, to secure your room by paying your deposit and first rent instalment (£750 in total). We will then allocate your room.
If you have firmly accepted an Unconditional offer and passed any required applicant checks you will receive an email offering you the chance to apply for a place in our Student Village by logging in to UEL Direct, our student portal. To secure your place you will need to complete the online application process and pay your deposit and first rent instalment (£750 in total). We will then allocate your room.
If you have accepted a conditional/unconditional offer from UEL as your Insurance choice, you will be not be able to apply for a place in our Student Village at this stage. If you subsequently firmly accept an unconditional offer from UEL you will receive an email offering you the chance to apply online for a place (see above for details).
If you are an international student, please note that by paying your deposit and accepting the agreement you are committed to the tenancy regardless of any visa issues which arise.

When you apply you can express a preference for which room type you are allocated and who you share with. We offer a specific area for Postgraduate study. When your entry requirements are satisfied, you will have 7 days to pay your £750 deposit and advanced rental instalment, or you will lose your guarantee of a room.
There are three types of room available:
Our Docklands Campus is located along the exciting and rapidly developing Royal Albert Dock with stunning views of the water, London City airport and the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf.
Each hall of residence contains flats with normally five bedrooms.
Each study-bedroom has a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, bookshelves, pin board, and en-suite toilet, washbasin and shower facilities.
Each flat contains a kitchen/dining area. There is a well-equipped launderette within the halls of residence, and the campus facilities include two bars, a refectory, coffee shop and fitness centre.
Gallions Reach is nearby – a major retail park with shops and supermarkets, and central London can be reached on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) within 30 minutes.
