These pages are intended to be used to help the University in its preparations for the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
In them you will find information about the development of the REF process, details of internal processes and timescales for our preparations for the REF, an archive of the REF UPDATE series of occasional papers and other news about the REF, and have the opportunity to submit information about your research outputs to enable us to compile the data we need to support our preparations.
As HEFCE finalises the parameters for the REFexercise and begins to develop practical processes and guidance, and the University increasingly engages in preparations for the REF, in particular the iterative development of submissions to REF 2014, more information will be added to this website.
