These pages are intended to be used to help the University in its preparations for the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
In them you will find information about the development of the REF process, details of internal processes and timescales for our preparations for the REF, an archive of the REF UPDATE series of occasional papers and other news about the REF, and have the opportunity to submit information about your research outputs to enable us to compile the data we need to support our preparations.
As HEFCE and the government finalise the parameters for the REFexercise and the University begins to more closely develop processes to enable it to make its submission to the first REF exercise, more information will be added to this website.
If you have any questions about the REF process, or want to make a comment on these web pages, please contact Dr Tim Brooks in the Graduate School (x2421, t.brooks@uel.ac.uk).
