UEL Research Conference 2013

Wednesday 26 June 2013, Docklands Campus

Discover more about UEL’s innovative research at the UEL Research Conference 2013

UEL will celebrate some of its most innovative research this summer at its third annual research and knowledge exchange conference.

The UEL Research Conference will  take place on Wednesday 26 June 2013 at Docklands campus and the focus for this year's event will be `Inside Outside: Creating external and community links'.

The conference will be a chance for the university's research community to come together and learn more about the exciting and innovative work that is taking place across the institution.

It will also provide the opportunity to showcase UEL research and expertise to an external audience as this year the conference organising committee are working with the new Business Partnerships team in ESDS and Corporate Marketing to invite colleagues from external organisations to attend the conference.

Presentations from across the breadth of UEL’s research expertise have been encouraged and from colleagues at any stage of their research career.

Look out for further information about the conference on this page.

The Abstract Sifting Process

  • Abstracts will be scored against their quality of method, impact and accessibility
  • Abstracts will be sifted by internal panels of a minimum three academics
  • Each panel will be as multi disciplinary in scope as possible
  • Submitted scores will be collated by ReDS to give an overall draft ranking
  • One representative from each panel will then attend a final sifting meeting, confirming successful abstracts and proposing a draft grouping for each session
