This session looked at the various pathways and vehicles to demonstrate the impact of research including Knowledge Transfer, IP and Patents, communications and promotion. It also highlighted where more support would be useful and lay the cornerstones for a UEL impact strategy (Click here to download the opening presentation) .
Dr Bill Moir gave a taster session on how to develop as an academic consultant. With input from academics and businesses, it covered the key knowledge and professional approaches, including the various phases of the process, and the tools, skills and techniques required for effective interaction and communication.
Run by experienced members of the UK research council's peer review panel, this session provided insight into the requirements of winning a grant and the future of UK research council funding. This session was also an opportunity to raise issues and challenges to inform how UEL supports research.
