Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference 2012

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

On Thursday 3rd May 2012 the University will hold its annual research and knowledge exchange conference at the Stratford conference centre. The theme for this year's conference will be `UEL research 2012: innovation and impact'

The conference will be a platform for the whole of the university's research community to come together and learn about the exciting and innovative work that is taking place across the institution.

The Conference Organising Committee is inviting abstracts of up to 400 words for oral presentation at the conference.

Presentations will be a maximum of 15 minutes in length and should present your research and ideas in an informative and accessible way. We are encouraging presentations from across the breadth of research expertise at UEL and from colleagues at any stage of their research careers.

Potential users of research will be invited to the conference (for example, R&D personnel from public sector organisations, CEOs from the commercial sector). So, your abstracts should be written in non-technical, accessible English. Re-presentation of work already disseminated at recent external conferences is encouraged.

All abstracts should be received by no later than 4pm on Monday 16th January 2012 and should be submitted via email to reds@uel.ac.uk

The organising committee will seek to group presentations along thematic lines. At present, these will include but not be confined to the 6 themes identified by the Deputy VC Research for strategic development.  All abstracts will beconsidered by the committee and decisions re inclusion in the conference will be delivered by the end of February 2012.
