Business Scene Networking Event - Thursday 24th March 2011
The University of East London is currently sponsoring a series of London based business focused networking events through Business Scene, one of the largest business networking groups in the UK. The last event took place on 24th March at The Broadgate Tower. For academic staff, this event offered opportunities to;
- Build links with local businesses,
- Pitch consultancy or service offer to a new business audience,
- Search for businesses that may be interested in collaborating on current research or projects, and to
- Showcase expertise to a business audience.

About Business Scene
Business Scene is a national networking organisation, with over 215,000 subscribers. The London regional events take place every two months in central London venues, and have specific themes, with guest speaking slots. The businesses are mainly SMEs (small to medium sized enterprises), with between 1-249 employees, and they attend the events to create new business opportunities and learn about the support available to them across London. The ReDS team host a stand there to promote the expertise that the University has to offer, and work to build links with businesses who made need consultancy from the University or who want to develop collaborative relationships.
