At present, we do not permit readers to take photographs of Archive materials for research or private study. The use of flash photography can be damaging to documents and potentially distracting to other researchers in the Archive.
If your particular line of research requires the taking of photographs, please contact the Archivist in advance of your visit to discuss your requirements.
Laptop computers may be used for private research and study within the Refugee Council Archive. However, at present we only have enough power points for one laptop to be in use within the Archive at any one time. At present, it is not possible to reserve seats in advance and both the Learning Resources Centre and the Archive cannot accept liability for the safety of your equipment.
We are happy to arrange induction sessions, or individual one-to-one sessions if you would like to learn more about any aspect of the archive service. Iif you wish to make an appointment to find out about the Archive, or if you have a specific enquiry you need assistance with, then please contact the Archivist, Paul Dudman , to arrange a mutually agreeable time. Paul can be contacted on 020 8223 7676 or e-mail p.v.dudman@uel.ac.uk
If you wish to arrange for a group to visit the Archive, then please contact the Archivist. Paul Dudman , in the first instance on 020 8223 7676 or e-mail p.v.dudman@uel.ac.uk
