Who are the Taster Sessions for?

These Taster Sessions provide a basic general introduction to psychology and counselling that is suitable for all who have an interest in these areas. Advice will also be available for participants who wish to enrol on further courses, which may include both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

Description of Taster Sessions

Psychology and counselling are large and complex fields of study that covers a range of topics; these Taster Sessions will introduce you to some of these. A variety of topics will be covered, and these will vary across the sessions, throughout which students will be encouraged to discuss issues and ask questions.

We will also be running taster sessions that are aimed at graduates (whose previous degree does not need to be in psychology). These are listed below as our postgraduate taster session. Graduates interested in knowing more about coaching, business psychology, occupational psychology or career guidance are encouraged to attend. These sessions will include presentations about our postgraduate programmes that specialise in these fields of study and hands-on activities so you can experience these programmes first hand.
