The current study you have shown an interest in aims to assess whether use of ecstasy at recreational levels results in affecting normal dietary behaviours.
The study involves completing a food diary for a period of two weeks, one week following a night out and another week following a week that did not include any particularly heavy night out. It also involves the completion of a number of questionnaires, assessing your weight, previous drug history, your general heath and personal history.
We are looking for female recreational Ecstasy (MDMA) users, who regularly use Ecstasy (MDMA). We are also looking for male non-users, to act as a control group.
In order to be eligible for participation in this study you need to comply with the following:
The study takes place in the comfort of your own home, we will send the packs directly to your home, but we do advise that you take the eating diary around with you, as the eating diaries are to be completed daily for a period of two weeks.
On successful completion of the study, participants will be given a £25 gift voucher for taking part.
The whole procedure takes a period of two weeks.
Confidentiality will be ensured, all personal and questionnaire data will be anonymous and only identifiable by a unique participant code kept separately from your consent form. Upon completion of the study all data and contact details will be shredded and disposed of as confidential waste.
If you still interested in contributing to this study and fit the criteria stated above, or you simply want to learn more about the study, please contact Charlie Schlosz on 020 8223 4424 or e-mail: u0925658@uel.ac.uk, leaving your contact details, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
