The University of East London offers world-leading postgraduate qualifications in coaching and coaching psychology. Our coaching programmes will support you to develop your understanding of coaching theory and practice and provide you with internationally recognised qualifications.

We now offer full- and part-time taught programmes as well as distance learning programmes.

Taught Programmes

Our taught masters in coaching is a well established programme and we were the first UK university to offer a masters in Coaching Psychology. For those who wish to take shorter or more focused qualifications, we offer a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching and Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching Psychology, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching and a Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching Psychology.

The teaching for the taught programme is concentrated on Fridays and Saturdays to offer students as much flexibility as possible. Assessment is highly practical, including video and reflective logs, short essays and presentations. There are no examinations.

Distance Learning

We are the first university in the world to offer distance learning MSc programmes in coaching and coaching psychology. Calling upon internationally recognised coaching experts, our distance learning programme offers high-quality written material supplemented by textbooks and online materials including interviews, coaching demonstrations and insights from leading coaches.
