Professor Irvine Gersch, Programme Director for Educational Psychology programmes, was a consultant for the high profile National Audit Office report, “Improving Poorly Performing Schools in England”. The report sparked a national debate, stating that more than 1000 schools in England are under-performing, whilst about 200 are failing completely.
