About Psychology

We are a large and exciting School of Psychology, with a proven track record of high quality in our teaching, research and consultancy. Our staff are well qualified both in teaching and in their own specialisms; some are internationally renowned experts; all are enthusiastic about their work. We offer a wide range of degree courses: undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and research doctorates.

Undergraduate Programmes

Our Psychology undergraduate degree programmes are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS); with a 2.2 or above you are eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), which is essential if you want to go on to practise as a psychologist.

The Extended Psychology Degree is a four-year programme and offers a gentler exposure to academic study.

Postgraduate Programmes

A distinguishing characteristic of our School is the highly regarded wide range of postgraduate programmes we offer. Many of these programmes equip you to practise professionally, because they are accredited by the relevant professional body.

Teaching and Learning

Teaching and learning are important to us — and to our students! We uphold a tradition of providing a good learning experience. Our students are enthusiastic about the support they receive from staff, and find the School a friendly and helpful place to study.

Location

We are based at our historic Stratford campus, which is close to the town centre and the 2012 Olympic park. Following an extensive programme of refurbishment, our campus provides impressive facilities including a new Library and Learning centre, laboratories and computing facilities.
