The UEL Progress Card is a scheme we operate in partnership with John Smith’s. If you’re a student who has joined since 2006/7, the UEL Progress Card can help you save money on your books and stationery either at John Smith’s on-campus bookshops, or when you buy using the John Smith’s website at www.jscampus.co.uk. You use your Progress Card to purchase books, Oyster card top-ups, laptops and much more using your Progress Bursary funds.
Also, your friends and relatives will be able to put funds directly onto your Progress Card by topping it up so that you’ll be able to use it just like a debit card in John Smiths!
All students joining us or returning in September 2011 or February 2012 are eligible for a
free Progress Card. You can get a Progress Card even if you haven’t received a bursary.
This means that you, your parent/guardian or anyone that would like to support you in your
studies can add money to your card to be used in the John Smith’s bookshop. Please ask
staff for details.
During enrolment John Smith’s will be issuing Progress Cards at the Docklands Campus, from the Royal Docks Business School Trading Floor. After enrolment you will also be able to get a Progress Card from the John Smith’s bookshops at Docklands and Stratford. The shops are open 9am – 5.30pm (later for the first four weeks of the semester). You will need to bring along your UEL Student ID card.
The UEL Progress Card launched in partnership with John Smith’s bookshops helps you save money on your books and stationery either at John Smith’s on-campus bookshops, or, when you buy using the John Smith’s website.
There are always a range of in-store offers for Progress Card holders. Remember to check regularly online or drop into our John Smith’s campus based shops to see what they are.
In 2008, John Smith’s won the prestigious “Academic and Professional Chain Bookseller of the Year Award" for the the third year running.
