To investigate both the traditional and new technologies with an aim to better understand these relationships, gaining knowledge of how to develop conceptual and practical possibilities of the Moving Image. You will be able to investigate the pathway with an emphasis on Digital Arts, 16mm Film or Video, Animation or a combination of these.
This programme will investigate a diversity of digital possibilities such as software arts, interactivity and 3D. The programme also provides traditional analogue technologies such as 16mm film as a means of locating the media within its historical and practical context. Moving Image has the capacity to be an immersive & interactive environment, to be a collaboration with networks of users, anticipate computers that are invisible and yet are everywhere, investigate tangible objects that form a new user interface. Explore the possibility of sharing the development and modification of the artwork with its originator or originators.

All our Combined Honours Programmes can be studied on a Part-time or Full-time basis. As a Part-time student, you will study the same degree programme, but at a slower pace. You will study up to 4 modules per year (instead of 6 as a full-time student).

Students are selected on their suitability for the programme by a portfolio interview.
