Why Study Event Management as part of a Combined Honours Degree?

Events Management is delivered by the Business School at the University of East London and will appeal to all those who wish to work in the Leisure, Music or Cultural Industries. Programme content reflects the changing nature and growth of the leisure, fashion, media and cultural industries which now form a significant part of the UK service sector economy. Events Management is designed to support that economy in light of London 2012 and beyond. The programme incorporates many established areas of management, such as marketing and finance, but also will focus on customer service and operations excellence, and strategic management.

What will I study?

The degree comprises of 18 modules taken over three levels of study. Events Management Modules include

  • Event Planning and Management
  • Marketing Principles and Practice
  • Customer Service Operations and Excellence
  • Fundamentals of Finance
  • Tour and Venue Management
  • Strategic Management
  • Sports Event Marketing

Can I study a Combined Honours Programme as a Part-time degree?

All our Combined Honours Programmes can be studied on a Part-time or Full-time basis. As a Part-time student, you will study the same degree programme, but at a slower pace. You will study up to 4 modules per year (instead of 6 as a full-time student).

Entry Requirements

240 UCAS tariff points (including two passes at A2 level) plus GCSE Maths and English grade C or above.

How do I apply?

If you wish to study with us full-time from September, you will need to make your application via UCAS (www.ucas.ac.uk).

If you wish to study with us part-time you can obtain an application form from our admissions department study@uel.ac.uk or apply on-line.
