Programme summary for MBA International Business
About the programme
This MBA is driven by the global dimension of business and the value placed on international knowledge and understanding. It balances theory and practice to enhance intellectual and professional development within this context. The MBA is delivered in two stages: Stage one looks at the key functions performed by a business; stage two adopts a more strategic focus, encouraging you to learn and reflect on business and management practice.
Programme structure
The MBA comprises five core modules:
- Information Systems and Financial Modelling
- International Business Strategy
- International Human Resource Management
- International Marketing and Operational Product/Service Delivery
- Dissertation/Business Simulation.
Career opportunities
The MBA is a recognised qualification of managerial competence at a strategic level and, as such, exemptions are granted by numerous professional organisations (eg, the Chartered Management Institute). It also opens the way for continuing personal and professional development. Many of our graduates have gained significant promotion upon completion of the programme

Admission
For admission to postgraduate business and management programmes, applicants normally need to have either:
- An undergraduate honours degree from a recognised/accredited university with a minimum 2.2 classification, or equivalent
- Pass in a recognised Premaster’s or Master’s Qualifying Programme
In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, then IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) is required. International qualifications will be checked for appropriate matriculation to UK Higher Education postgraduate programmes.
Students that apply to enter stages of the programme may be admitted through normal Accreditation of Experiential Learning (AEL) or Accreditation of Certificated Learning (ACL) processes, or through an approved articulation agreement. Therefore such applicants must be able to demonstrate and evidence that they have the required learning outcomes as listed in the modules for which they are seeking exemption.
Postgraduate applicants are normally required to produce two supporting references, at least one of which should preferably be academic.
Candidates are also expected to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
