Friday 30 November 2012

HEA Fellows

The University of East London has been recognised as the leading London university for Higher Education Academy Fellows and is now ranked 8th nationally.

UEL is one of the first institutions to be accredited by the Higher Education Academy to award every category of Fellowship, from Associate through to Principal.

The Director of Academic Practice and Student Experience, Dr Julie Baldry Currens said: “This is a very considerable achievement.  We are proud of our colleagues who have evidenced their commitment to delivering high quality teaching to our students through the attainment of Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy."

She added: "Our number one ranking in London shows that focusing on the quality of teaching is one of our key priorities and the recent re-accreditation of the UEL Professional Standards Framework is testament to this. We are determined to further increase the number of Fellows at UEL and will continue to support colleagues to achieve this aim."
