Lord Patel is appointed Professorial Fellow

Professor Lord Kamlesh Patel of Bradford, UEL’s Director of Strategic Partnerships and Senior Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor, has been appointed a Professorial Fellow by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH).

Professorial Fellowships are awarded to academics, who are already recognised at an international level as outstanding researchers. The prestigious honour means Lord Patel will enter into a growing field of RSPH academics with special expertise in two categories – community development and international health.

Speaking in response to his appointment, Lord Patel, said: “I feel so proud that this prestigious honour has been bestowed upon me by the RSPH. I will use this fellowship to help ensure we continue to deliver world-class research in the area of public health.”

The Royal Society for Public Health is an independent, multi-disciplinary charity organisation, dedicated to the promotion and protection of collective human health and well-being.
