Business School Students

The University of East London has recently been accepted into the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), an international network that encourages quality in management education.

The AACSB has a long reputation for driving fresh thinking and innovation in business and management education. This new link will help UEL to develop new international educational experiences for students and deliver programmes overseas.

Professor Len Shackleton, Dean of the Royal Docks Business School said, “We are delighted to have been accepted into the AACSB and we look forward to being an active member through developing links with other AACSB member schools. We have recently joined the European Foundation for Management Development, becoming one of only 41 UK business schools to be accepted by both organisations.”

The latest developments at UEL’s Royal Docks Business School are part of the University’s strategy to provide engaging learning experiences for students and opportunities for collaboration.

The Royal Docks Business School (RDBS) is located at UEL’s Docklands campus and is home to around seventy highly qualified and experienced lecturers who are dedicated to teaching and supporting the student experience. They are also typically committed to high-quality research work which underpins our teaching, with groups focusing on entrepreneurship (the School hosts the Petchey Centre for Entrepreneurship), the management of human resources, finance, economics and banking.

The RDBS is also actively engaged in consultancy and knowledge exchange projects with business, increasingly focusing on the regeneration of the Thames Gateway area. The School works closely with the University's Knowledge Dock, a successful award-winning business incubator and innovation centre.
