The University of East London hosted an international conference in driver coaching on Thursday. The event was part of a series of conferences which has seen some of the most prominent experts in coaching travel to East London from across the world.
Guest speakers at the event last week included Trevor Wedge, the Driving Standards Agency’s Chief Driving Examiner, and Dr Gregor Bartl, his Austrian counterpart.
Attendees also took part in workshops given by Mark Christie and Chris Preston-Routledge from the Army Defence School for Transport and Damien Finbow from the internationally renowned Met Police driver training school, among others.
Damien Finbow said: “The conference shows the will to develop a coaching approach to make our roads safer and this must be applauded. It was stimulating to hear of driver coaching applications being used by other professionals in the industry".
