Rudi Vis

Rudi Vis, former Labour MP for Finchley and Golders Green has died. Family and close friends announced the popular politician had lost his battle with cancer on Sunday night, aged 69.

Born in the Netherlands, Rudi studied Economics and was a lecturer at what is now the University of East London for fifteen years between 1971 and 1996. He entered the world of politics after winning the newly created parliamentary constituency of Finchley and Golders Green in 1997 with more than 46 per cent of the vote.

Those who knew Rudi during his time at the university will, no doubt, wish to express their deepest sympathies to his wife and family at this time
