UEL’s final year photography students drew big crowds to the opening night of their exhibition at the iconic Old Truman Brewery building on Brick Lane on Thursday.
The photographs, which were on display throughout the weekend, were part of the annual Free Range Art Show.
Free Range is a special project set up in 2001 to support new creative talent. The show takes place every June and July and provides a platform for graduate art and design students to showcase their work to both public and industry.
In total 30 UEL under-graduates displayed their work which ranged from traditional portraiture to abstract conceptualism.
Ralph Hall, Senior Lecturer in Photography at UEL said: “It was fantastic to see the students’ work displayed together in this space, it really brought home how incredibly high the standard of work this year has been. I hope that they really take something with them in terms of experience and knowledge when they leave the university and I look forward to following many of their careers with interest”.
