UEL celebrates World Health Day

Wednesday 5 May 2010

Ade Adepitan

For the second year running UEL hosted a special event to promote all aspects of well being amongst the campus community. As well as offering advice and information, the event provided an opportunity for students and staff alike to learn more about how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Due to the popularity of the event and in recognition of the Student Health and Wellbeing services within the local health community, over 20 health organisations and collaborative partners participated at this year's event. These included Asian Women's project, British Heart Foundation, Meningitis Trust, MIND, Drugs Free World, Worphan and Newham Connexions among many others. Complimentary therapists were also on hand to offer massage, hypnotherapy and life coaching for those looking to find the motivation to lead healthy lifestyles
