The University of East London is offering an exciting new part-time opportunity for postgraduate students with a passion for tennis. Thanks to a new partnership with the Tennis Foundation, UEL is seeking to recruit a motivated and energetic postgraduate student to develop and facilitate a successful tennis programme for the University community.

This paid part-time position offers the unique opportunity to combine postgraduate studies with coaching and development at UEL. The Tennis Coordinator will organise tennis events on-campus, taster sessions, organised competition, coaching, referee training and community events.

UEL Director of Sport, David Cosford says: "this opportunity provides a valuable ‘first step’ into the tennis industry, the Coordinators will gain a wide range of valuable skills and experiences which will really be beneficial in the start of their career."

The new Coordinator will play a major role in boosting sport participation at UEL on the journey to becoming a lead university for sport in London by 2015. A new sports complex is already underway which will host athletes and journalists from countries all over the world including the United States Olympic committee who will be based at UEL for the Games.
