Interested in studying from the comfort of your own home or workplace? UEL is now a market leader in the provision of higher education by flexible distance and e-learning, short courses and professional development, with 4,000 students enrolled via UELconnect.
Innovative on-line professional education partnerships with leading employers including the National Air Traffic Control Services and Amateur Swimming Association were showcased at the launch of UELconnect on Friday 23 January.
Key speakers at the event included Chris Gomez, Head of Training Performance, Development & Design at NATS. Mr Gomez said: “The partnership with NATS and UEL is truly interactive and is based on knowledge sharing and a great deal of pro-activity.
“The UEL team have worked hard to identify and deal with the issues affecting students today, so that there is a good structure in place for training and a push to move them forwards to help them fulfil their expectations.
“A key factor to providing the learning benefits to NATS has been the way in which UEL have delved into our training areas to really identify the learning needs and challenges faced by our students during the course of their training.”
UELconnect is a commercially focused unit within the University of East London, formed to promote employer engagement through provision of flexible learning solutions tailored for business and industry.
Sarah Frame, Director of UELconnect said: “I’m proud that UELconnect’s objectives will help take UEL forward as it develops a broader range of training programmes such as e-learning, exciting commercial consultancy and distance learning programmes."
