All welcome to UEL Open Evening – Wednesday 3 September

Friday 22 August 2008

The University of East London (UEL) will open its Docklands and Stratford campuses to prospective new students and local residents for an Open Evening on Wednesday 3 September.

With the Clearing round of late university recruitment currently underway, visitors will have the opportunity to make on-the-spot applications for degree programmes starting later in the month.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy guided tours of the campuses, talk to staff and students about the hundreds of degree programmes and combinations on offer at UEL, and pick up advice and guidance on all aspects of university life.

Emma Burchfield, Head of Student Admissions at UEL, said: “The University of East London has invested over £170 million in campus facilities over recent years and it's very exciting to see the results. This open evening will enable prospective students to experience a dynamic and successful modern university and learn more about the opportunities we offer.

“With places still available on a wide range of courses, from Fashion Design to Forensic Science, visitors could well walk away with an exciting new direction to their life."

UEL’s Docklands Campus is home to the Schools of Architecture and the Visual Arts, Business, Computing and Technology, and Social Sciences, Media and Cultural Studies. The Stratford Campus is home to the Schools of Education, Health and Bioscience, Law and Psychology.

The UEL Open Evening will take place at the Docklands and Stratford campuses from 4-7pm on Wednesday 3 September. For further details, visit www.uel.ac.uk/openday or contact 020 8223 3333 or study@uel.ac.uk.
