Join the fun at Children’s Garden Summer Fair – Thursday 19 June

Wednesday 11 June 2008

Home-cooked food, hand-made crafts and bargain books and toys will all be on offer when the Children’s Garden Summer Fair takes place at the University of East London (UEL) Docklands campus on Thursday 19 June from 12-3pm.

The Children’s Garden Early Years Centre, housed in a purpose-built home by the side of the Royal Albert Dock, provides children aged between three and six with a safe, positive and stimulating environment in which to play, learn and explore. The Centre also offers a parent and child drop-in group every Wednesday from 10am–12pmfor children aged 0-3.

Katie Sharrock, Manager of the Children’s Garden, said: “The Summer Fair is a great opportunity for prospective parents and children to visit the centre and find out more about the wonderful environment and education that we offer.

“Our Steiner Waldorf principles are based on the idea of developing the whole child – the heart, the head and the hands. We believe that young children learn primarily through doing, experiencing and imitating, and our activities reflect that approach.”

The Children’s Garden Summer Fair will take place on Thursday 19 June, from 12–3pm. For further information, contact Katie Sharrock on 020 8223 7833 or k.sharrock@uel.ac.uk
