The University of East London (UEL) will open its Docklands and Stratford campuses to prospective students and local residents for the biggest ever Spring Open Evening on Wednesday 5 March.
Visitors will be able to explore exciting new buildings, discover more about hundreds of degree programmes and combinations on offer at UEL, and pick up advice and guidance on all aspects of university life.
The University of East London has recently invested over £160 million in exciting new campus facilities, including state-of-the-art library and learning centres open 24 hours a day, a new waterfront Student Village, and the new Business School and Knowledge Dock Centre at Docklands.
At Stratford, the impressive Centre for Clinical Education was officially opened in January by Her Royal Highness Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. Construction is now underway on the major new Cass School of Education, as well as a magnificent new lecture theatre and computing centre, all due to be completed by the end of 2008.
Sandra Hollis, Director of Corporate Marketing and the International Office at UEL, said: “We have invested dramatically in our campus facilities over recent years and it's extremely exciting to see the results. This open evening will enable prospective students to discover more about the opportunities on offer and experience a dynamic and successful modern university.”
UEL’s Docklands Campus is home to the Schools of Architecture and the Visual Arts, Business, Computing and Technology, and Social Sciences, Media and Cultural Studies. The Stratford Campus is home to the Schools of Education, Health and Bioscience, Law and Psychology.
The UEL Open Evening will take place at the Docklands and Stratford campuses from 4-8pm on Wednesday 5 March. For further details or to register your place, contact Franc Gooding on 020 8223 2884 or visit www.uel.ac.uk/openday.
