Africans living in London can learn how to combine personal and international development at this year’s Africa Diaspora Development Day, to be held at the University of East London’s (UEL) Docklands Campus on Saturday 7 July.
The event, organised by the African Foundation for Development (AFFORD) in partnership with UEL’s School of Education, will focus on the importance of business, education, leadership and skills in enabling the UK-based African Diaspora to contribute to wealth and job creation in Africa.
Seminars and group discussions will focus on the key issues of remittances, investment, networks, lobbying, leadership, entrepreneurship and effective public speaking.
Africa Diaspora Development Day will take place at UEL’s Docklands Campus from 9.30am to 6pm on Saturday 7 July. For further details, visit www.uel.ac.uk/ad3 or call 020 8223 3112.
