Are traditional British values the answer? Educationalists explore teaching and multiculturalism after 7/7

Friday 16 June 2006

On Friday 30 June, academics and educators will explore the media and political responses to 7/7, and how these are influencing education, at a seminar organised by Namita Chakrabarty and John Preston of the University of East London (UEL) School of Education.

The keynote speaker is David Gillborn of the Institute of Education, and other speakers include Alpesh Maisuria, University of Northampton, and Mike Cole of Bishop Grosseteste College, Lincoln.

The seminar will take place at the Institute of Education, University of London from 1-3 pm. All welcome – for details and registration email n.chakrabarty@uel.ac.uk.
