Applying to university - the facts (a free workshop to demystify the application process)
Applying to university can be confusing:  choosing a course, meeting deadlines and what to include in an application, especially for prospective students who have been out of educationfor some time.  The pre-entry team at UEL will work with prospective students to help them with this process at these free workshops, specifically looking at UCAS forms and personal statements. 

Suitable for anyone considering making an application to university this year.

Starting Out at University
Now in its sixth year, the Starting Out programme is a series of free workshops designed to help those interested in returning to education gain a taste of the skills and knowledge that will increase one's confidence in applying to university. All participants will be offered one-to-one advice and guidance by a qualified advisor.

Interested in a Career in Finance? Bloomberg Institute is coming to UEL to help put you in touch with thousands of financial recruiters! The Bloomberg Assessment Test (BAT) is free of charge to all UEL students and recent graduates, and by taking the BAT you can find out what your strengths and weaknesses would be in a finance-based career, while at the same time showcasing your abilities to a wide range of financial employers.

So, if you’re planning to start a full-time course at university or college later this year and haven’t applied yet for your student finance, go online today and apply at direct.gov.uk/studentfinance

Cycling Cultures: launch of final report
UEL’s Cycling Cultures project, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, looked at experiences of cycling in Bristol, Cambridge, Hackney, and Hull. The final report is now available and is being launched during Bike Week with an event discussing the project’s findings.
