
Dan Goodley is Professor of Psychology and Disability Studies, the father of two girls, ally to the self-advocacy group Huddersfield People First and a long-suffering Nottingham Forest fan. His research and teaching aims to shake up dominant myths in psychology as well as contributing, in some small way, to the development of critical disability studies theories that understand and eradicate disablism. This talk will draw, in part, on a book due out in 2010 An introduction to disability studies: psyche, culture and society (Sage).
