Our ultra-modern Docklands campus has become one of the most instantly recognisable locations in London. With a stunning waterfront location adjacent to the Royal Albert Dock, innovative architecture and colourful halls of residence, the campus is an exciting and inspirational place to live, work and study. Today, Docklands serves over 7,500 students and researchers, and is a popular East London landmark.
Located on the waterfront of the Royal Albert Dock, Docklands was London's first new university campus to be built in over half a century. Opened by the new Mayor of London on his very first day in office in 2000, the campus has won acclaim for its iconic architecture and was short-listed for Building of the Year.
We are currently completing a £130 million campus redevelopment programme at Docklands and our Stratford campus, creating a modern learning environment with a stunning range of new, purpose-built facilities. At Docklands alone these including:
In addition, our Computing and Technology Centre combines brand-new engineering facilities and laboratories with high-tech computing and multimedia resources, while our Architecture and the Visual Arts Centre offers studios, gallery and installation space and multimedia facilities in a purpose-built environment.
It all adds up to making Docklands an exciting, innovative and cutting-edge campus at which to study.
