Brief biography

Elizabeth Stokes joined UEL School of Law and Social Sciences in 1995 to contribute to the teaching and development of criminal law, criminal justice and criminology modules across the curriculum.  Elizabeth was involved in the introduction and design of the BA in Criminology & Criminal Justice in 1997 and co-ordinated this subject area from 2000-2003.  She has a long standing interest in interdisciplinary studies and the challenges of teaching law to non-law students and to learners with diverse educational backgrounds. After a two-year secondment to the Open University, Faculty of Health & Social Care in 2005 developing law materials for health, social work and youth justice practitioners, she returned to UEL in September 2007. Her current administrative role is Combined Honours Leader for Law.
