My background is in New Technology and Education and Online and Distance Education. I have taught at UEL for many years on various programmes at all levels, including supervising dissertations. I am currently working with colleagues on developing a Masters programme in ICTs and International Development and also with a collaborative partner on revisions to their Masters in Organisational Analysis programme and the creation of a PhD in the same area.
Responsible role in recruitment, marketing and advertising for Sociology and Innovation Studies. Member of the Employability, ProBono and Extra-Curricular Committee.
Research interests include the complex relationships that exist between science, technology, innovation and society, with a focus on information and communication technologies (ICTs) and also the current concern regarding the commodification, production and consumption of education.
