Tavistock Clinic
The Tavistock Clinic is unique institution within the NHS. It offers specialist therapeutic interventions with various forms of mental health difficulties, from broadly psychodynamic and systems psychotherapeutic approaches.
Academic links between the Tavistock and UEL have been established for a number of years. The pioneering work of Professor Mike Rustin in arguing for the value of psychoanalytic ideas as tools for sociological analysis was part of the foundation of this link. The PSS area continues to actively promote this link.
Heather Price currently coordinates the MA in Psychoanalytic Studies, which is run at the Tavistock, validated by the University of East London.
