Welcome to the School of Law and Social Sciences. Law and Criminology are located in Duncan House, Stratford, while Social Sciences are located on our Docklands Campus. We have a vibrant and unique identity, rooted in our world class research, innovative, critical approach to higher education, and our internationalism.
The School offers an exciting portfolio of teaching programmes of high academic quality and a cutting-edge, collaborative and interactive research environment. Our students benefit from teaching that is contemporary and challenging, taught by staff who are experts in research and other developments in their fields.
We are dedicated to ensuring that our students are prepared for the workplace when they leave UEL. We have an Employability Manager to support students in finding work experience, internships, Pro Bono work and gaining employment.
The School has strong ties to East London, home of the 2012 Olympics and an important site of social, cultural and economic transformation, as well as its international links.
