The project began in October 2008 and will go live with its own website in September 2009.
East London Lives 2012 will be a unique digital archive of 'London 2012'. This living archive will record and reflect on the process of social change in East London arising from hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
A demonstrator project, it will selectively concentrate on two key Olympic promises - social regeneration and health and wellbeing - using legacy indicators derived by an expert Academic Steering Group.
The Archive will contain filmed focus groups and recorded oral histories from people in the five Olympic boroughs, together with relevant documentary sources and key papers arising from the work of London East Research Institute and the Institute for Health and Development.
Themes: Performance Indicators, community engagement, health and wellbeing, oral histories and Olympic Studies module
