Setting out citations – the Harvard way

Part 7: Atlases

Atlases

Citation order:

  • Author/editor (if no author/editor - title goes first)
  • Year of publication (in round brackets)
  • Title (in italics)
  • Edition (only include the edition number if it is not the first edition)
  • Place of publication: publisher
  • Series and volume number (where relevant)

Reference List Example

The times atlas of the world (2004) London: Times Books.
In-text Example

As illustrated in the text (The Time Atlas of the World, 2004, p.202)...
