It is very easy to use Library Search. Just type one or more words you are looking for and click the Search button.

Books and more

  • You can search for books, journal titles, e-books, theses, DVDs, maps, CDs, and other publications.

Articles

  • You can search for journal articles, conference papers and reports, many of which are available in full-text. Choose a subject from the drop-down menu if you want to search a selection of databases.

How do I get to my Library Account?

To access your account and renew and request items, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Library Catalogue
  2. Click on Sign in
  3. Enter your UEL username and password
  4. Click on My Account

From here you will be able to view your library account, check your loans and fines, renew and request items

How do I renew my loans?

  1. Go to the Library Catalogue
  2. Click on Sign in
  3. Enter your UEL username and password
  4. Click on My library account
  5. Click on Loans
  6. Click on Renew or Renew All

How do I make a request/reservation?

  1. Go to the
  2. Click on Sign in
  3. Enter your UEL username and password
  4. Perform your search
  5. Scroll down the search results to find the title you require
  6. Click on Request
  7. Select pickup location
  8. Click on Hold

Remember - Only request items out on loan to another user or located at another campus.

How do I request an Inter-Library Loan (ILL)?

  1. Go to the Library Catalogue
  2. Click on Sign in
  3. Enter your UEL username and password
  4. Click on My Account
  5. Click on Place ILL request

To request a book

  • Click on ILL Book Request
  • Complete the form
  • Scroll down the screen and complete the Delivery Information
  • Click the box to agree terms and conditions
  • Click on Go

To request a journal

  • Click on ILL Journal Request
  • Complete the form
  • Scroll down the screen and complete the Delivery Information
  • Click the box to agree terms and conditions
  • Click on Go

Can I change or add my mobile phone number to receive text messages?

If you would like to add or amend your mobile phone number so that we can text you when your books are overdue or when items you have requested are available for you to collect

  1. Go to the Library Catalogue
  2. Click on Sign in
  3. Enter your UEL username and password
  4. Click on My Account
  5. Click on Personal settings and add/amend your mobile phone number
  6. Click on Update

How can I change my Self-Service PIN?

  1. Go to the Library Catalogue
  2. Click on Sign in
  3. Enter your UEL username and password
  4. Click on My Account
  5. Click on Personal settings
  6. Click on PIN Number Update and change your Self Service Pincode
  7. Click on Go
