What should I ask?

The Text-a-Librarian service is best for quick queries, such as, "When is the library open?" More complicated, research-based questions should be emailed or sent via the Ask-a-Librarian chat page.

Please make sure your questions are 160 characters or less, as this will help us to provide a faster response.

How much will it cost?

The library won't charge you for texts, but your mobile provider might. It could be worth checking with your carrier to see how much the service will cost.

When will I hear back?

We aim to respond to all texts as soon as we can. You should receive an answer to your question within 48 hours.

Is there anything else I should know?

Your phone number won't be stored.

We always welcome your feedback. Let us know what you think about Text-a-Librarian via our online form.
