Library Closure Information

Our new, state-of-the-art library in Stratford will open on Monday 24 June. In order for us to move our collections across, Stratford and Duncan House libraries will be closed from 5pm on Friday 7 June.

  • Unfortunately a useful starting point for internet resources in the field of Education Intute, closed in July 2011; it is however still accessable and contains a comprehensive tutorial ,written by a member of the IoE’s library,on the effective use of the internet for finding information on Education.
  • The Times Educational Supplement
    Offers extracts from the current edition, teachers’ forums, sharing of teaching resources and lesson plans etc.Necessary to register [free] for maximum benefits.. Noted for its extensive listing of available teaching posts.
  • Institute of Education
    The foremost institution for the study of education in the UK.

  • Department for Education
    Offers detailed coverage of major developments in school education; primarily designed for practising teachers.

  • CERUK
    This database covers research on all phases of education from early years to adults. It features a wide range of studies including commissioned research and PhD level theses.
