Library Notifications

Automatic Renewals

We will automatically renew all items on your account as long as they are not requested by another user and you have no blocks on your library account. We will send you an email each week to let you know which items are on your account. We will also send you a recall email if you need to return your book because it has been requested by someone else. If we can't renew your items, please return them to the library as soon as possible to avoid incurring any fines.

Overdue Notices:

Please be aware that fines are payable on all overdue items. Click here to see details of current charges.

We will send you emails each week letting you know which books are on your account and when they are due back, including those books that have not been returned because someone else has requested them..

Fines Block:

Your account will be blocked when your fines exceed £25, and you will not be able to borrow until the amount of fines owing is reduced to below £25. If you have accrued fines of over £100, your account will be blocked and you will receive a letter from the Finance Department.

How can I supply my email and mobile number?

We will always send emails to your UEL address, but if you would also like us to email you at your home address, please let us know at any library helpdesk or send us an email to library@uel.ac.uk

If you haven't received a text or email, please make sure that you have checked your UEL email account and that you have given us your correct home email address and mobile phone number.

And remember:

It is your responsibility for knowing the date, or date and time, for return of each item you borrow. It is also important that you let us know about any changes in your email addresses and mobile phone numbers
