The following databases can be accessed from our database A-Z list. When you are off-campus you will need an ATHENS username and password.

EBSCO Academic Search Complete A multidisciplinary database containing over 8,500 full-text e-journals.

Over 30 full-text anthropology journals. Ideal for the research, teaching and practice of anthropology. 


Please note, this database is available on-campus only.

JSTOR A large database with very broad coverage across the humanities.
Science Direct Science Direct includes e-journals from 16 areas of science, including the social sciences and anthropology.

Refugee Council The refugee council is the largest organisation in the UK working with refugees and asylum seekers.
Refugee Studies Centre, Oxford University Its objective is to carry out multidisciplinary research into the causes and consequences of forced migration.
Relief Web

Aims to serve the information needs of the humanitarian relief community.

United Nations  A very comprehensive site. Has a section on humanitarian affairs.
United Nations High Commission for Refugees  A very useful site for anybody interested in refugee studies. Enables you to search individual countries.
