The NEW Library Catalogue

Our New Library Search Engine allows you to search the Library catalogue for books, e-books, videos and it also allows you to search for Journal articles online. Just click on the Library Catalogue, which will take you to the new search interface.

To access your account, renew and request items, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Library Catalogue
2. Sign in with your UEL username and password
3. Click on e-Shelf
4. Click on My library account

From here you will be able to view your library account, check your loans and fines, renew and request items

The following will also help you to use the new catalogue:

How do I renew my loans?

1. Go to the Library Catalogue
2. Click on Sign in for full access
3. Enter your UEL username and password
4. Click on e-Shelf
5. Click on My library account
6. Click on Renew Loans
7. Tick box to select item/s you wish to renew
8. Scroll up and click on Renew Loans or Renew All

How do I make a request/reservation?

1. Go to the Library Catalogue
2. Click on Sign in for full access
3. Enter your UEL username and password
4. Perform your search
5. Scroll down the search results to find the title you require
6. Click on Available or Check Holdings
7. Scroll down and click on request to make a hold request
8. Check pickup/delivery location and dates are correct and click on Go

Remember - If your title shows Available, you can get it straight away from the library shelf
