- BBC2 See hear on Saturday: A weekly magazine programme for deaf and hard of hearing people, produced in sign language with open subtitles. There is also an extensive web links page from this site to many organizations for the deaf and hard of hearing.
- BDA (British Dyslexia Association): The BDA is the voice of dyslexic people. They offer advice, information and help to families, professionals and dyslexic individuals. Their aim is to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia, and to effect change.
- Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills
- Department of Work and Pensions: Gives advice on state benefits and support.
- Disability: A government website about a disabled person rights.
- Disability Rights Commission: An independent body set up by the Government to help secure civil rights for disabled people.
- Dyslexia Action: An educational charity for the assessment and teaching of people with dyslexia and for the training of specialist teachers. It has grown to become the only national dyslexia teaching organisation in the world.
- The Dyspraxia Foundation: A UK charity which helps people cope with dyspraxia .
- MENCAP: The UK's leading learning disability charity working with people with a learning disability and their families and carers
- Mind: The leading mental health charity in England and Wales, which works for a better life for everyone with experience of mental distress.
- NISS (National Information Services and Systems): Sites specifically for those with, or working in the area of, special needs or disabilities, particularly in Further and Higher Education.
- Open University: The Open University site gives advice and guidance for students with a disability, as well useful information about funding and financial help through the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).
- RNIB (The Royal National Institute for the Blind): The Royal National Institute for the Blind offers help, advice and training to blind and partially sighted people in the UK.
- RNID (The Royal National Institute for Deaf People): The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) is the largest charity representing the 8.7 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK.
- Scope (Cerebral Palsy Support): Scope the national disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy.
- Skill: Skill promotes opportunities for young people and adults with any kind of disability in post-16 education, training and employment across the UK.
