The Library and Learning Services has Library and Learning Centres on each of its three campuses Docklands, Stratford and Duncan House.

Our campus libraries offer very flexible Opening Hours throughout the year, including bank holidays, Christmas and Easter period. Please see the Accessibility Section for parking facilities, access for wheelchair users and more.

We are keen to provide an excellent service to our users. If you have any feedback, questions or comments, please use our Online Feedback form. You can also find out how we have responded to your feedback by going to our 'You said...we did' page. Additionally you can Contact Us and Meet our Teams in this section.

Library Study Zones

Library study zones symbols

We realize that students need different study environments at different times. To help accommodate this, we have introduced study zones in each of our libraries.

Zones are clearly marked and library and security staff will regularly patrol the zones to make sure that everyone understands what is expected of them.

Silent zone

  • Strictly silent study
  • Individual study
  • No talking
  • No mobile phones
  • Music/audio clips must be inaudible
  • No children
  • No food or hot drinks

Quiet zone

  • Quiet discussion
  • Switch your mobile phone to silent
  • Music/audio clips must be inaudible
  • Children must be quiet and supervised
  • No food or hot drinks

Help us to make your library a great place to research and study. Take the time to find a zone appropriate to your needs and please respect the rights of those around you. If you have any concerns while you are in the library, please speak to a member of staff.

And don’t forget:

  • Switch your mobile phone to silent when you enter the library
  • Carry your ID card with you at all times and produce it on when asked by a memeber of staff or security
